Let me start by saying Hotel Xcaret Arte is hands down the #1 all-inclusive adults-only resort in Cancun, Mexico. As soon as I stepped foot on the property I knew this was a once in a lifetime experience.
Hotel Xcaret Arte is the newest hotel in the Xcaret family. So new that you may be the first person to lie in the hammock on the balcony or take a luxurious bath in the in-room jacuzzi!
Xcaret Arte has white sand beaches, Mayan architecture, and natural caves, making it one of the most photogenic resorts of its kind, but that’s not all the reasons why you should put it on your bucket list! Your all-inclusive stay also includes access to its six parks.
Here is where the guide will take you:

Hotel Xcaret Arte All-Inclusive Resort Package
When booking the resort, I was surprised by all the included activities. It wasn’t until I arrived that I realized I had only scratched the surface of what Xcaret has to offer. Besides access to the six parks, the following amenities are included in your hotel cost:
- Food and beverages in restaurants and bars (excluding Kibi-Kibi and Xaak which requires an additional fee)
- Cultural workshops
- Yoga area and aerial yoga classes
- Non-motorized water sports
- Nightly Shows at Forum Theater
- Access to main resort pool, beach and rooftop pools
- Access to coffee bar, 24/7 fitness center, and boutiques.
- Privileges at the sister hotel Hotel Xcaret Mexico, including access to its restaurants, bars, tennis court, and pools
Resort’s Luxury Features
This resort spared no expense when it comes to luxury! It has a private beach, three swim-up bars, and 15 outdoor pools.
Upon arrival we met our personal butler, who gave us a tour of the resort. She provided the run-down of each of the restaurants and amenities. After telling her our goals and interests, she created a custom itinerary with activities and restaurant reservations for our stay.
Each room at Hotel Arte is just that, a work of art. Everything in the room is locally sourced including the thread in the pillows. The art and architecture throughout the resort represents the Mayan culture. Each room has an in-room jacuzzi and memory foam beds. In addition, guests receive bathrobes and locally sourced soaps and lotions.
Xcaret Parks
When you stay at Hotel Xcaret Arte, you have access to each of the six parks. I would describe the parks as Disneyworld in Mexico.
It is impossible to visit every park even if you stayed at the resort for a week. The hotel alone will take a week to explore, but we decided to visit two parks Xplor Fuego and Xcarte Mexico.
Xplor Fuego is a nighttime park. At Fuego you can zipline through fire rings, kayak through underground caves, and ATV through the jungle.
Xcaret Mexico is similar to the Animal Kingdom at Disneyworld. This park features wildlife like pumas, jaguars, and flamingos. They also have special excursions you can participate in for an extra cost, like Snuba, parasailing, and speed boat rides.
I did the dolphin excursion and got to swim and play games with dolphins.
Resort Resturants
My best friend is a foodie, and her eyes lit up at the endless food options. There are several restaurants and small food stands where you can grab an ice cream.
My favorite restaurant was Japanese restaurant Tah-Xido. Our waiter was well informed and selected the most amazing edible art piece for us to try.
Not only is the food good but the drinks are AMAZING. They do not skimp on the alcohol at this resort. It’s possible to indulge in alcoholic drinks 24/7. If you happen to stop by the swim-up bar, make sure to ask for Elmer. He was amazing and by far our favorite bartender.
Photo Packages
One of my favorite details was the photo stations. There are circles throughout the parks and hotel where you can scan your wristband to get your photo taken.
When you return to your room at the end of the day, there is a slide show on your Apple TV of all the photos you took.
The photo stations are a fun and neat way to capture memories throughout the parks and resorts.
Is the Resort Worth the Price?
YES!
If you consider the hotel stay costs, park costs, food costs, and experiences, the price is pretty reasonable. It costs $500 to $900 per night to stay in the river suite depending on the time of year. It’s jarring when you first see the prices, but I didn’t have to worry about anything, including airport transportation.
